Smart Campus
Harnessing advanced technologies like the Internet, big data, and artificial intelligence, a smart campus collects, integrates, analyzes, and applies various on-campus information. This enables intelligent, efficient, and convenient teaching, management, and services across multiple dimensions, fostering a new-type campus with high teaching quality and a high standard of operation.
The functions of a smart campus fall into four major categories: smart teaching environments, smart teaching resources, smart campus management, and smart campus services, covering all aspects of teaching, research, management, and campus life. Endowed with the new campus ecological features of “perceivability, diagnosability, analyzability, and self-healing capability,” it can sense, capture, and transmit information about people, equipment, and resources anytime and anywhere. It also perceives learners’ individual characteristics and learning status, thereby achieving insight into and prediction of teaching activities and educational management.
